NEW PRINCIPAL

At a young age, James loved creating buildings and roller coasters with Legos, and later found that developing communities using the computer game “Sim City” was the perfect outlet for his creativity. As he got older and went off to Santa Clara University, civil engineering became a natural choice for him, as it was a “real-life” extension of these activities he enjoyed as a youngster.  Read More

NEW VICE PRESIDENTS

Always intrigued with moving people efficiently from place to place, working in transportation was an obvious career choice for Jaggi. He is a Vice President at BKF and has worked in our Pleasanton office since 2007, when he graduated from UC Davis. “I feel fortunate for the opportunity to work on projects that have impact and create positive change in the Bay Area,” he said.  Read More

Walter began his career with BKF in our Redwood City office and later moved to the Pleasanton office when it opened in 2000. He specializes in providing surveying services to our East Bay clients, and says he strives every day to develop and maintain good client relationships. “One of the things I value most at BKF is that understanding our client’s needs and maintaining our client’s satisfaction and trust comes first.”  Read More

NEW ASSOCIATES

The youngest of eight children, Sheila Amparo moved to Southern California from the Philippines when she was seven years old. Uncertain of what she was going to study in college, her brother-in-law asked her if she had thought about becoming an engineer.   Read More

Sravan Paladugu is originally from India and first became interested in civil engineering in high school after watching his dad, also an engineer, develop small residential apartment buildings. Seeking better opportunities for his future, he came to the United States in 2000.   Read More

Nicknamed BKF’s specialty “on-call-ogist” because of his extensive involvement with on-call survey work for public agencies, Ben Santos was originally lured into this profession by the promise of outdoor adventure and the use of high-tech gadgets, gears, and geomatics applications.  Read More

Jon Shattuck was born and raised in Fresno and it was his dad’s career as a mechanical engineer which helped guide him into the field of engineering. He graduated from Fresno State, with what would become the basis of his career – civil engineering and geomatics engineering degrees.  Read More
