Kevin Wong, Associate Principal, and Oakland
Office Manager
“I’ve always enjoyed grading design and working on multi-modal streetscape projects. I like to have early involvement in projects during the site plan conception because it helps BKF to assist our clients with bringing their vision to life,” says Kevin Wong.
Kevin has been with BKF for over 18 years and has worked on a diverse range of projects including large lot subdivisions, public/private schools, streetscapes, single/multifamily homes, and high-rise/zero lot line buildings. Kevin has been a leader in public works/transportation improvements with the Port of Oakland. Most recently, he has served the City of Oakland in their Active Transportation Projects (ATP). These projects include their 14th Street Safe Route in the City project and the Telegraph Avenue Complete Streets project. These projects work towards converting the City’s downtown landscape to a more friendly and safer bicycle, pedestrian, and transit environment. Jean Chen, CFO
“It’s been rewarding to know that my team and I are making an impact,” Jean Chen says. “When a project manager says that my team helped or principals thank me for the work I am doing, it’s very rewarding to work in an environment like that.”
Jean leads our finance and accounting team at BKF and sits in our Oakland office. Her focus is developing a high-caliber team strengthening the financial infrastructure and building relationships with the rest of the organization. Her efforts have not gone unrecognized.
