BKF Engineers is pleased to welcome Joe Nelson as a new Project Manager in our Land Surveying group. Joe brings 14 years of professional experience as a surveyor and mapper, with a strong track record of managing a diverse portfolio of projects, including boundary surveys, topographic mapping, route surveys, subdivision surveys, and construction surveys.

Joe has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting teams and clients with precision, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset throughout his career. His responsibilities have included creating survey control networks, performing boundary analysis, preparing final maps and survey plats, conducting ALTA surveys, and maintaining accurate corner records. Joe is also experienced in preparing encumbrance maps and records of surveys, further reinforcing his comprehensive knowledge of land surveying practices.

Driven by a passion for helping others achieve their goals, Joe is known for combining technical expertise with strong communication skills—traits that will serve him well in his new leadership role. His long-term career goal is to grow as a people leader, where he can foster growth and success in others.
