BKF Welcomes Tyler Sheldon as Senior Vice President, Transportation Business Sector Leader

As BKF and MNS move forward with the upcoming merger, we are excited to jointly announce a major step in expanding our leadership team by welcoming Tyler Sheldon, PE, MBA, who will lead the combined Transportation Business Sector, support integration, and accelerate our positive impact in the market. With over 30 years of experience, Tyler’s addition marks another pivotal moment in the firm’s continued evolution toward becoming a premier infrastructure-focused organization.

As communities across the West Coast face the demands of modern mobility, resilient infrastructure, and fast project-delivery expectations, BKF is aligning its leadership with its long-term strategy to build a transportation practice equipped for the next century of infrastructure investment.

Tyler is nationally recognized as an industry leader and practice builder with extensive experience across program management, construction management, engineering, project delivery, and alternative delivery models. His background includes an impressive $100+ billion in infrastructure and building program delivery, as well as executive oversight of a 400-person, multi-state business unit. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Chico, where he graduated magna cum laude, providing a strong technical foundation that has guided his work throughout his career. That foundation is further strengthened by his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Golden Gate University, enabling him to pair his engineering, strategic, and data-driven business leadership expertise.

Tyler will guide and grow the sector’s strategy, strengthen client partnerships, and support seamless, predictable delivery across Transportation Design, Construction Management, and Structures Practice areas. His leadership will reinforce BKF’s focus on clarity, collaboration, and aligning teams around shared client objectives.
