Possessing a special interest in her science and math classes at a young age, combined with a love of puzzles, Emily was naturally drawn to engineering. She realized it would be a practical career, and one which would continue to challenge her and also give her the flexibility to live anywhere. While she started her civil engineering journey in California, she and her husband have recently relocated to Portland, OR, where she works on a variety of projects including multifamily and affordable residential projects and mixed-use developments. She has 9 years of experience and has worked for BKF since 2018.

On days off, Emily enjoys adventuring outdoors, spending time with family, playing with her dogs, and working on home improvement projects with her husband.
