Women of BKF | Anne Zheng

Though originally drawn to architecture thanks to a high school geometry assignment Anne’s college of choice did not offer an architecture program, which lead her to civil engineering as an alternate career path. Although it was not exactly what she had planned on pursuing, the more she discovered what civil engineering entailed, the more her passion for it grew. Through her involvement with student organizations such as ASCE and EfID, paired with multiple internships prior to graduation, Anne sealed her interest in building a career in land development as a civil engineer.

Anne has been at BKF for 5 years working on mixed-use, multi-family residential, and commercial development. She credits the firm for providing her access to many resources and the right mentors which have deeply contributed to her growth as a civil engineer and professional.

In her free time, Anne enjoys rock climbing by herself or with friends. A self-proclaimed foodie, she appreciates trying new foods and restaurants. Asked what she is thankful for, Anne says her family, friends, dog, and a career that makes her feel so fulfilled.
