Overview

Awarded through a design competition, BKF provided civil engineering and surveying services for the new 42,000‑square‑foot Walnut Creek Main Library. The project features an underground parking structure, along with plazas, gardens, and comprehensive streetscape improvements that enhance the surrounding public realm. BKF incorporated bioretention facilities to promote long‑term stormwater quality, developed a permanent dewatering system to support below‑grade construction, and designed modifications to the existing traffic signal at the intersection of Broadway and Lincoln Streets to improve circulation and safety.
