BKF provided civil engineering design services for the new Community Based Outpatient Clinic for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in San Jose, a three‑story, 95,000‑square‑foot facility that consolidates a wide range of healthcare services under one roof. The clinic is designed to serve Veterans with convenient access to medical, mental‑health, and support services, supported by a site layout that includes 329 parking spaces and full Fire Department and ADA‑compliant access throughout.
BKF’s work included the design of all major site utilities—fire water, domestic water, storm drain, and sanitary sewer systems—along with the installation of new offsite public improvements such as sidewalks, streetlights, and crosswalks. Sustainable stormwater‑treatment measures were incorporated to ensure long‑term environmental performance and compliance. Through comprehensive civil engineering support, BKF helped deliver a modern, accessible, and resilient healthcare facility dedicated to serving the Veteran community.
