Overview

BKF provided civil engineering design services for Connie and Kevin Chou Hall, a state‑of‑the‑art academic facility at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. The 74,000‑square‑foot building supports modern business education with eight tiered classrooms, 28 team‑based study rooms, four flexible learning spaces, a 300‑person event venue, and an on‑site café with outdoor seating.

BKF supported the project from conceptual design through construction administration, delivering key site improvements that included the relocation of two major storm drain lines and the design of an innovative stormwater capture and reuse system integrated into the building’s plumbing. These efforts contributed to a sustainable, high‑performance learning environment that elevates the student experience and advances the university’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
