BKF provided comprehensive civil engineering services for Stanford University’s new Redwood City campus, supporting the planning and delivery of a major in‑fill development on a 35‑acre site. BKF’s work included due‑diligence evaluations, utility infrastructure studies, and preparation of the SB 610 Water Supply Assessment. The team also supported the environmental review and entitlement process through the EIR, Specific Plan, and Planning Commission and City Council hearings, helping to guide the project through key regulatory milestones.
As part of the campus planning effort, BKF analyzed pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular circulation to create a safe and efficient multimodal environment. The development includes 1.5 million square feet of planned office space and incorporates a robust C.3 stormwater management strategy that makes use of recycled water for both irrigation and indoor plumbing. BKF also provided ADA compliance support, including the design and addition of accessible parking spaces throughout the site. Together, these efforts contributed to Stanford’s vision for a sustainable, functional, and future‑ready campus in Redwood City.
