BKF provided environmental compliance and monitoring services for the South Bay Boulevard Bridge Replacement in San Luis Obispo County. The project included extensive pre-construction coordination and environmental oversight to support compliance with Caltrans LAPM requirements, permit conditions, and environmental commitments associated with the federally funded bridge replacement project.
BKF’s services included pre-construction biological surveys, nesting bird surveys, vegetation monitoring, special-status species coordination, exclusion fencing oversight, and environmental compliance monitoring during construction activities for the South Bay Boulevard Bridge. The team also coordinated cultural resource and Native American monitoring services, including cultural awareness training for construction crews and archaeological oversight during ground-disturbing activities. BKF worked closely with County staff, contractors, tribal representatives, and regulatory agencies to support efficient project delivery while protecting sensitive biological and cultural resources throughout construction.
