Snapdragon Stadium is a year-round entertainment destination that serves as the hub of community engagement and Aztec pride. The new 35,000-capacity stadium supports collegiate football, professional and collegiate soccer, NCAA championship games, concerts, and other events. The stadium is part of San Diego State University’s campus expansion in Mission Valley.
BKF provided comprehensive surveying services throughout the development of Snapdragon Stadium, beginning with the establishment of a precise survey control network to support consistent design and construction coordination. The team conducted baseline topographic and boundary surveys, followed by extensive construction staking to guide excavation, structural placement, grading, and utilities.
As the stadium neared completion, BKF performed detailed as-built surveys—including a final topographic exhibit—to verify structural accuracy and ensure compliance with design specifications and code. BKF also monitored ground settlement of the surrounding site infrastructure during and after construction.
