BKF provided preliminary engineering services for the Research Support Building 52 Conceptual Design Report, supporting early planning and design development for this new facility. As part of the effort, BKF identified all existing utilities in conflict with the proposed building footprint, ensuring that site constraints were clearly understood before advancing into later design phases. The team prepared utility realignment concepts, developed new utility design recommendations, and conducted a peer review of the civil engineering components to help refine the overall approach. BKF also evaluated the project’s conformance with SLAC design guidelines, ensuring alignment with campus standards and long‑term infrastructure goals.
