Sierra College Instructional Building

The Rocklin Center campus is one of the four Sierra College campuses which is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges. This project consists of a 3-story, 77,000 s.f. Instructional Building with classrooms, art studios, small coffee shop, and open lobby for student collaborative spaces. The building is located on the west portion of the campus providing easy access to campus buildings and facilities. This building is part of the Facilities Master Plan and Measure E Construction Program allocating up to $500 million over the next 15 years to support new construction and modernization of existing facilities. Grading and accessibility were key design elements since the building was situated on a steep slope.  The project was performed as a design-build effort in collaboration with Balfour Beatty.
