The mixed‑use student housing complex occupies an entire city block just south of the San Francisco State University main campus and is fully owned and operated by the university. The development features an eight‑story podium‑style building that includes 169 residential units along with parking, retail space, and a range of student‑focused amenities designed to support campus life.
BKF provided civil engineering design and land surveying services for the project, including the extension of a combined sewer main to serve the new building and the design of a major utility encroachment to bring private infrastructure across the public right‑of‑way. Working closely with the design team, BKF integrated green and sustainable stormwater management strategies that align with and feed into the university’s broader stormwater master plan, supporting long‑term environmental performance and regulatory compliance.
