Santana Row

Santana Row transformed a vacated 42 acre former auto/strip mall into an urban village.  The unique neighborhood combines a distinctive blend of uses into a mixed-use lifestyle community.  Shopping, dining, dwellings, offices, a boutique hotel, and a movie theatre front living streets with inviting open spaces.

BKF’s role in the award winning Santana Row project involved master planning all transportation improvements, as well as designing and coordinating all on-site improvements and approvals with the various third parties, developers, sub-consultants, jurisdictions, and stakeholders. BKF was involved throughout the entire duration of the project from the start of the site permitting stage through construction, working directly with the City of San Jose planning staff and the developer to construct a premier and critically acclaimed development.
