The Salinas Intermodal Transportation Center is the first project completed in the Monterey County Rail Extension Project’s Kick Start Project, which will extend commuter rail service from Salinas to Gilroy. BKF led the civil engineering design services, drainage, utilities, and local permits for the project. Working to integrate stormwater source control measures into the overall site design, BKF coordinated with the City of Salinas and Caltrans for compliance with local stormwater treatment requirements and work within the State right-of-way.
