BKF provided civil engineering support for a new nine‑story mixed‑use condominium building along Potrero Avenue, featuring 70 residential units, ground‑floor commercial space, and a subterranean level for parking and storage. Eleven of the homes are designated Below Market Rate units, contributing to the City’s affordable housing goals. The project includes parking for 43 vehicles using mechanical car stackers, bicycle parking for 84 bikes, and a 3,200‑square‑foot roof deck for residents.
BKF assisted the design team with stormwater management strategies required to meet SFPUC’s mandate for a 25 percent reduction in stormwater volume and flow. These measures were integrated into the building design through flow‑through planters located on the second‑floor courtyard and the ninth‑floor roof deck, providing an effective, sustainable solution within a dense urban development.
