Stanford University is working to create a safer, more pedestrian‑ and bicycle‑friendly campus by upgrading key intersections with modern roundabouts that improve traffic flow and reduce conflict points. BKF supported this effort by providing full design, plan preparation, and construction support services for the first roundabout implemented on campus. Our team developed existing‑conditions and demolition plans, prepared site layout and horizontal control, and produced detailed signage and striping plans to establish safe, intuitive movements for all users. BKF also designed the grading, drainage, and utility improvements needed to integrate the new intersection geometry into the surrounding campus environment.
