The Monterey Conference Center underwent a comprehensive renovation to create highly flexible meeting environments and expanded, more usable pre‑function space. Upgrades also integrated modern event technology and enabled the facility to host multiple concurrent meetings. BKF provided civil engineering services supporting the renovation, including survey and mapping, reconstruction of ramps, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, ADA compliance improvements, and enhancements to truck, vehicular, and pedestrian access. The team also incorporated bio‑filtration to improve stormwater quality and supported traffic signal modifications and intersection design to optimize on‑site and adjacent circulation. The reimagined three‑story, 127,000‑square‑foot conference center now delivers a more adaptable, accessible, and sustainable destination for meetings and events.
