The Exchange is an Urban Commercial Campus that consists of four interconnected buildings located in Mission Bay’s Block 40. BKF was the Civil Engineer of Record for all of the site improvements including securing encroachment permits and design approvals for non-standard structure elements requiring special review within Caltrans and Joint Powers Board right of way. The complex project utilized a phased rough grading permit that facilitated the construction of the multilevel below grade garage in advance of the site and utility permits.

• 3.5-acre development site with pedestrian-friendly open urban plazas, pocket-parks, green roofs, and rain gardens
