The City of Milpitas obtained a federal grant to improve pavement conditions and pedestrian accessibility along multiple streets throughout the City. BKF provided civil engineering and land surveying services for the project, which included approximately 5.25 miles of roadway resurfacing and reconstruction, curb ramp replacement to improve ADA accessibility, curb and gutter reconstruction, slurry seal, and construction staging and traffic handling.
BKF’s scope also included utility coordination, utility adjustments, monument reconstruction, and manhole and drainage inlet adjustments. The team performed topographic surveying and coordinated extensively with Caltrans, the County of Santa Clara, and impacted property owners. The federally funded project required E‑76 processing and incorporated comprehensive accessibility upgrades throughout the project corridors.
