BKF provided civil engineering and surveying services for Main Street Village, an environmentally focused affordable housing community that delivers much‑needed supportive housing to the region. The 96,809‑square‑foot development incorporates numerous green building features, including bay‑friendly landscaping, stormwater treatment systems, a solar‑thermal system, photovoltaic panels, energy‑efficient fixtures, and on‑demand hot water heaters in every unit. BKF supported the project from entitlements through completion, preparing site design documents and survey services to facilitate a smooth approval and construction process.
The community includes a mix of 17 studios, 17 one‑bedroom units, 20 two‑bedroom units, and 10 three‑bedroom apartments, offering a range of affordable housing options while promoting long‑term sustainability and resident well‑being.
