BKF provided civil engineering services as part of the design team for the redevelopment of an underutilized 1.23‑acre parcel in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek. The project introduced a six‑story mixed‑use building featuring 141 apartment units and approximately 19,000 square feet of ground‑floor retail space, creating a vibrant, pedestrian‑oriented destination within the urban core. BKF’s work also supported the design of both underground and surface parking facilities, including 182 below‑grade stalls and 28 additional surface spaces, ensuring efficient site circulation and accessibility for residents, visitors, and retail customers.
