BKF provided civil engineering design services for the Los Medanos College Brentwood Center, a new educational campus on approximately 17.5 acres of formerly vacant land in the City of Brentwood. The center comprises two buildings connected by a central circulation spine and organized around two shared courtyards. The northern academic building includes general classrooms and a science center with labs and support spaces, while the southern building houses faculty and administrative offices, student services, and a variety of student‑support areas. A Student Commons anchors the campus with a computer lab, library services, a bookstore, and inviting student lounge areas.
BKF delivered and coordinated all site utility infrastructure and worked closely with the landscape architect to minimize site impacts and integrate sustainable site design. The completed facility provides 55,000 square feet of academic space with 15 instructional classrooms and four science labs, comprehensive student support and food services, and 738 parking stalls to serve students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
