BKF provided civil engineering design services to support improvements at Hicks Canyon Park, enhancing community use, safety, and overall park functionality for the City of Irvine. The 16.7‑acre park features age‑appropriate play equipment, new shade structures, benches, picnic tables, barbeque areas, and a fully upgraded restroom facility. BKF’s work also supported enhancements to the park’s extensive sports field complex, which includes two soccer fields, two baseball diamonds, bleachers, a concession area, a walking path, and two newly lighted batting cages.
As part of the improvement program, BKF delivered ADA accessibility upgrades, grading and drainage design, and conceptual civil design to ensure the park remains welcoming, safe, and sustainable for visitors of all ages.
