The New Center for Liberal Arts will be the first new building at the College of Alameda in 25 years, and it will provide a unified identity and home for the various Liberal Arts Departments at the college. The project includes a new 2-story building, landscape and hardscape improvements on the perimeter, utility relocations, bioretention facilities to treat the building roof, and various hardscape and fire access improvements.
BKF’s work on the project included providing topographic survey services, utility relocating and demolition planning, rough and fine grading design, utility design, stormwater treatment and erosion control, and utility easement support for the project’s new electrical services.
