BKF provided surveying and civil engineering design services for the new LEED Gold–certified Civic Center developed on a 2.7‑acre site within the Civic Park. The project includes a new 60,000‑square‑foot City Hall, a 32,000‑square‑foot community center, a 280‑stall parking structure, and associated improvements to the surrounding 2.7‑acre park. BKF coordinated closely with PG&E, AT&T, and Comcast to relocate existing utilities and develop a joint trench composite plan. In addition, BKF prepared a stormwater quality control plan in compliance with Contra Costa requirements.
