BKF provided civil engineering design services for the new eight‑story mixed‑use building located at the west end of Santana Row. The project delivers a significant expansion of the district’s commercial and office offerings, featuring approximately 290,000 square feet of Class A office space above 30,000 square feet of ground‑floor retail. To support the development’s density and urban form, BKF designed the civil infrastructure for a four‑level underground parking garage accommodating 1,400 vehicles, as well as the surrounding site improvements.
Targeting LEED Gold certification, the project incorporates multiple sustainable design strategies, including cool roofs, water‑efficient landscaping and irrigation, and the use of recycled materials. The site program also includes a 21,000‑square‑foot public plaza and an 8,500‑square‑foot rooftop terrace and garden, enhancing public gathering opportunities and contributing to the building’s overall environmental performance. BKF’s work helped create a modern, highly accessible, and sustainability‑focused addition to the Santana Row district.
