BKF provided onsite and offsite civil engineering design services for 3045 Park Boulevard, a new Class‑A, all‑electric research and development facility located in Palo Alto. The project features a two‑story, 29,000‑square‑foot R&D building on a 1.3‑acre site, supported by both underground and surface parking to accommodate employees and visitors. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building incorporates several environmentally responsible features and meets multiple high‑performance targets.
As part of the civil design effort, BKF implemented unique site‑level strategies to meet Santa Clara County C.3 stormwater treatment requirements, ensuring effective stormwater capture, treatment, and compliance. BKF’s work contributed to the delivery of a modern, energy‑efficient facility that supports cutting‑edge research activity while promoting long‑term environmental stewardship.
