Lindsay didn’t follow the typical path to recruiting. After moving to the Bay Area, she wanted to step away from customer-facing roles and applied her extensive people skills in a new field: recruiting. Starting out as a Technical Recruiter, she quickly progressed to recruiting for key positions. She’s also expanded her role to managing employee relations, employee retention, and professional growth at BKF.

Lindsay has had to navigate the demands of hiring top talent while respecting the technical workload of BKF’s project managers through building solid relationships, both internally and externally. She has listened and learned what matters most to our team and developed a strong network of connections.

Every day in Lindsay’s role is different, and that’s exactly how she likes it! Working with people means no two days are the same, and she loves the unexpected twists that come with the job. One of her proudest achievements has been the long game of hiring—some hires have taken over a year of relationship-building before they were ready to join, and those moments feel like big wins.

Lindsay says her family, including her husband and daughter Lucy, are her biggest cheerleaders. She’s also had great mentors and leaders here at BKF who’ve helped her understand the world of engineering and keep her motivated. Beyond recruiting, she supports our team through coaching, exit interviews, and helping employees navigate work and personal situations.
