
BKF was selected by the Carmichael Water District (CWD, District) for the Design for the Kenneth Avenue, Boyd, Melvin, and Vale Drive Transmission Line Replacement Project. The District desires to upgrade the existing pipelines and replace approximately 6,100 linear feet of potable water transmission main within the District’s service area. The Project will replace existing pipelines with new 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipelines, and will also include 7 new fire hydrant installations, 102 metered service reconnections, and 7 tie-in connections to the existing water distribution system. BKF will be providing surveying, design, permit coordination, bid assistance and engineering services during construction.

The District provides domestic water to an estimated service area population of 37,897 customers via approximately 11,800 water service connections in Sacramento County.
