Professional Licensure & Certifications – BKF subsidizes state professional license application fees, study materials, classes, and exam fees. Upon successfully passing a professional licensing exam, you will be provided with an additional two days of vacation to offset any study time taken off before the test and a $5,000 bonus. BKF pays all license renewal fees. In addition to other certifications related to our practice, BKF reimburses for LEED Green Associate and LEED AP exam fees upon passing. BKF provides QSD/QSP certification through in-house training by our own CASQA Trainer-of-Record.

Professional & Societal Organizations – BKF encourages its employees to be active in professional and societal organizations and pays for annual dues and participation at select events related to marketing or professional development.

Educational Assistance – BKF subsidizes tuition, fees, and educational expenses for courses or seminars related to our practice.

Development Time – To encourage employees to dedicate time to certain activities and events that directly relate to our company, our business, our industry, or our professions, BKF will compensate employees for up to 40 hours of the time they choose to spend on their professional development per year.

Training – Active learning and knowledge sharing are of utmost importance at BKF. BKF Academy offers both live and on-demand training sessions on both technical and business-related topics. BKF Academy learning management system offers self-paced, goal-based instruction. Our summer interns and early professionals are provided formal Civil3D training through our long-time partner, CAD Masters. Through our social intranet, the HUB, you can post questions, share experiences, and find information that you need. 

Mentorship Program – Our Spark! mentorship program pairs you with a mentor who will share their knowledge, experience, and advice with the goals of furthering your professional and personal enrichment.

DEI Council & Employee Resource Groups – BKF’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative includes a DEI Council and four active Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) whose purpose is to advise on policies and practices that will make BKF a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
