SAN PABLO AVE BIKE & PED

This project received ACEC California’s 2019 Engineering Excellence Honor Award. This project constructed a two-way cycle track separated horizontally and vertically from the roadway and the sidewalk, creating a unique three-tiered corridor for each mode of travel along San Pablo Ave. The project set a precedence for future similar bicycle and pedestrian designs within Caltrans right of way and contributed to the formation of Caltrans policy for separated bikeways/cycle tracks.
