Jeff Hinton, PE – Senior Project Manager
Throughout his career, Jeff has garnered a reputation for excellence in project execution, with a demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a project from conception to completion. His experience will be a beneficial addition to BKF’s portfolio. He is adaptable and experienced in handling diverse and demanding projects. Jeff brings a proven track record of success in managing complex civil engineering projects to BKF and our Pacific Northwest clients.
Jake Mastrud, PE – Senior Project Engineer
Licensed in both Oregon and Washington, Jake brings a robust background in private development, utilities, and street design. His expertise spans QA/QC of specifications and milestone deliverables, GPS data collection and processing, construction management assistance, and stakeholder coordination. Jake’s ability to bridge the gap between design and construction phases enhances quality from the office to the field.
Cory Schermesser – Project Engineer
Cory comes to BKF with a diverse background in residential and mixed-use civil construction projects across the Oregon and Portland metro area. Specializing in stormwater management, Cory’s project expertise includes erosion control, stormwater analysis, floodplain analysis, and earthworks. Her understanding of local conditions and unique elements brings valuable insight .
Kacie Schmidt – Engineering Intern
Kacie Schmidt is a senior at Oregon Institute of Technology and is completing a dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in civil engineering. Her studies encompass lab soil testing and analysis, structural design and analysis, and bike lane design. With her passion, drive, and leadership experience as a softball athlete, Kacie is will be a contributing teammate and will be supporting our Portland staff on a variety of civil projects.
