Stockton, CA – The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Board of Directors has selected BKF Engineers (BKF) to serve as part of its grant writing and grants management services shortlist. This partnership is pivotal in facilitating funding strategies for the region’s numerous projects. BKF will provide essential grant writing and management services to SJCOG.  With BKF’s support, SJCOG aims to deploy effective strategies benefiting its diverse and dynamic communities.

Established in 1968, SJCOG is a joint-powers authority representing the County of San Joaquin and the cities of Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon, and Lathrop, serving nearly 800,000 residents.

Grant writing and management are crucial in enabling regional municipalities to fund infrastructure projects that enhance community safety and quality of life. BKF brings extensive experience in securing grants for cities, counties, regional districts, schools, and nonprofits. BKF is well-staffed and equipped to support SJCOG’s goals by researching, developing, and submitting successful grant proposals for various funding opportunities, including federal, state, local government, and philanthropic grants. Funds secured on behalf of SJCOG will contribute to its Overall Work Program, supporting projects in transportation planning, land-use planning, housing, workforce development, infrastructure, clean mobility, and active transportation.
