BKF Engineers, a leading provider of civil engineering design services, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the contract by the City of Richmond (City) to provide engineering design and plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) document development services for the Keller Beach Sanitary Sewer Relocation Feasibility Study in Richmond, California.

The goal of the Keller Beach Sanitary Sewer Relocation Feasibility Study is to assess the feasibility of repair or replacement for the City’s historic Keller Beach Sanitary Sewer, which has experienced multiple failures and faced public scrutiny related to environmental concerns. This project supports the City’s ongoing commitment to improving water quality and access for residents in Richmond and surrounding communities.

BKF Engineers and the Project Team will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating existing conditions and infrastructure constraints
  • Identifying and analyzing potential relocation alternatives
  • Preparing conceptual-level cost estimates and feasibility findings
  • Supporting coordination with stakeholders and regulatory agencies

The Keller Beach Sanitary Sewer Relocation Feasibility Study is a vital component of the City’s broader initiative to improve water quality and increase accessibility to water throughout the community.
