Joseph, a native of the East Bay area, spent his early years in Dublin, CA, and pursued his education at San Jose State University, earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Originally aspiring to work with animals, Joseph’s interest in math, science, playing with Legos, and engaging in home projects with his father ultimately guided him toward a fulfilling career in engineering.

At BKF, Joseph has established himself in land development, showing a growing interest in K-12 projects, lot line adjustments, and exploring commercial, and industrial ventures. Each day presents new adventures, with projects bringing fresh challenges, surprises, and valuable lessons. Joseph’s standout experience at BKF was his involvement in the Fredrickson Elementary School project—a source of immense pride for him. The project holds sentimental value as it has ties to his family, with all his siblings attending the school. Completing the project allowed Joseph to tour the facility with his proud father, who appreciated the hard work his son invested.

Joining BKF Engineers in 2011 as an intern, Joseph is grateful for the chance the company took on him right out of college. He recognizes the role that the BKF platform has played in fostering his development, offering crucial leadership and mentorship that have significantly shaped his professional journey.

Outside work, Joseph, who married his wife in 2016 and has two children, cherishes family time through board games, reading, and diverse activities. Excited about BKF’s future, he desires to contribute to its legacy by leading projects, connecting with the new generation, and paying forward the opportunities he received.
