Jason was introduced to land surveying by his uncle in the summer between his junior and senior years of high school, and from that point on, he knew he wanted to be a land surveyor.

After graduating high school, Jason fully committed to surveying and enrolled at Western Kentucky University. He graduated with a major in geology and two minors in surveying and GIS.

While gaining valuable experience in the field before graduating in 2007, Jason moved to California and secured an opportunity at BKF Engineers, interviewing for a project surveyor position. This role allowed him to gain valuable experience before taking the Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) exam.

To Jason, his greatest achievement is not one particular project but the ability to support all projects with surveying services. The collaboration between the survey and civil teams is something he looks forward to on a daily basis. He takes great pride in serving both internal and external clients, always striving to meet their needs with the utmost professionalism and precision.

Throughout his career, Jason has learned the importance of focusing on priorities and allowing others to help. He acknowledges that he wouldn’t be where he is today without the support of his team and the mentors who have guided him along the way.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients and make a meaningful difference in their projects.”
