At a young age, Becky discovered her love for designing and building by playing with erector sets, and Legos, and creating backyard forts. Growing up in a rural small town in Nevada, she developed a deep fascination with the built world in larger cities as she got older. Becky went on to earn a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Since joining BKF in 2019, she has led the design and management of several Public Works and Multi-Modal Improvement projects across the North Bay. Her expertise lies in projects that enhance walkability and bike-ability, aligning with her interests as a cyclist and walker. She sees immense value in initiatives that contribute to healthier and more connected lifestyles. Becky’s dedication to these projects is evident in her favorite accomplishment at BKF – the completion of the challenging North McDowell Boulevard project in Petaluma, CA. This endeavor, involving sidewalk gap closures, bike lane improvements, and crosswalk enhancements along a busy corridor, encompasses all the elements that fuel her passion for her work.

Becky thrives on brainstorming creative solutions with her team and enjoys both mentoring and learning from others. BKF’s collaborative environment of expertise and encouragement has been instrumental in her skill development and success. Grateful for her healthy family and the shared enthusiasm for engineering with her husband and aspiring engineer kids, Becky finds joy in her ability to help shape communities and improve livability and access for others. As Associate Principal, she aspires to help her team connect with and be inspired by their projects, fostering success for both BKF and the communities that we serve.
