Greg Hurd, President and CEO, has driven BKF’s strategic initiatives for over 15 years. He promotes the firm’s vision, values, and culture, oversees corporate leadership, and mentors both current and emerging leaders.

Passionate about community involvement, Greg actively engages with organizations like the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Society of Civil Engineers, San Mateo County Economic Development Association, North Coast Builders Exchange, and serves on Cal Poly’s (SLO) Civil and Environmental Engineering Industry Advisory Board

With over 30 years of experience, Greg has led diverse and complex civil engineering and land surveying projects for public and private clients. He has honed his technical expertise and gained invaluable leadership lessons. “My favorite projects benefit local communities the most,” Greg says. “I enjoy tackling complicated projects and feel gratified when owners and agencies respect and trust BKF’s work.”

Before becoming President and CEO, Greg managed BKF’s Santa Rosa office. In 2020, he became the fifth President in the firm’s history. “I am honored to lead this exceptional organization of creative, dedicated, and talented professionals,” he says.

Greg continually supports the development of A/E/C professionals and frequently presents real life and business experiences to aspiring engineering students at the local community college. His dedication to BKF and the community reflects his commitment to excellence and a vision for a thriving, innovative future in engineering.
