Eric Zickler brings more than 25 years of experience helping communities and organizations plan for a more resilient future. As Practice Area Lead for Resilience, he leads efforts focused on climate adaptation, water resources, sustainable infrastructure, and long-term community resilience. His work brings together technical expertise, strategic planning, and a practical understanding of the challenges communities face as climate conditions and infrastructure needs evolve.

Eric has worked with public agencies, utilities, ports, and institutional clients on complex water and infrastructure challenges, helping translate technical risks into practical, implementable strategies. His expertise includes watershed planning, utility master planning, climate resilience, and onsite water reuse. He is known for bringing together engineers, planners, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to develop resilient solutions that balance technical, regulatory, and community priorities.

Eric is passionate about helping communities turn resilience goals into meaningful action. He has led projects across the United States and internationally, with recent work including major programs for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Seattle Public Utilities, San Mateo County OneShoreline, and the Port of San Francisco. He holds a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University.
