With more than 40 years of technical and management experience, Greg serves as a member of BKF’s Board of Directors and as an Executive Advisor to BKF’s Leadership Team. In this capacity, he provides strategic, technical, and executive leadership that supports BKF’s long-term vision and strategic direction, strengthens client relationships, enhances the firm’s brand and market presence, and reinforces the core values and culture that have defined BKF’s continued success.
From 2020 through 2026, Greg served as BKF’s fifth CEO in its 110-year history, helping to redefine the firm’s growth trajectory during a period of both challenge and opportunity. He played a pivotal role in shaping BKF’s direction by advancing strategic growth, expanding professional development opportunities, and fostering a culture of collaboration and support that fueled exceptional growth and positioned the firm for a dynamic future.
Under his leadership as CEO, BKF achieved several significant milestones and strategic initiatives, including successfully guiding the company through the challenges of the 2020–2021 pandemic, reorganizing its governance structure and business model, integrating a private equity partnership, completing a transformative merger, and acquiring engineering firms that expanded the organization to more than 800 employees. Each of these accomplishments was driven by the strategic objective of broadening the firm’s capabilities through geographic expansion, strengthening technical expertise, and reinforcing the shared culture of purpose, collaboration, employee experience, and excellence that defines BKF.
Greg is deeply committed to community and industry engagement, maintaining an active presence across key professional organizations. His involvement includes the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) California, the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Civil & Environmental Engineering Industry Advisory Board, the California & Nevada Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors Association (CELSA), the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA), and the Business Alliance of Sonoma County.
