Women of BKF | Lena Dumler

With over eight years of experience in land development including multi-family residential, single-family residential, commercial, and infill projects, Lena is especially skilled with designing Low Impact Development (LID) strategies for stormwater capture. She is a registered professional engineer in California and also a LEED Green Associate, working toward LEED AP.

Lena is excited and passionate about mentoring junior staff; especially women in the profession. She has experience mentoring elementary- and middle school-aged students in STEM. She volunteers weekly with the Berkeley Food Bank, where she packages food for neighbors in need. Prior to her professional career, she served as a civil engineering intern in Atenas, Costa Rica, where she assisted with a campus master plan for an under-served high school in Honduras.
