Located in Hayward, the reconstructed Cherryland Elementary School campus served approximately 750 students from transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. The campus included five one‑ to two‑story buildings consisting of classrooms, an administration building, a multi‑purpose building, and a library and media center, along with playgrounds, playing fields, and an outdoor amphitheater.
BKF provided civil engineering design services for the project, including grading and drainage, utility design, and stormwater quality calculations. BKF also led coordination efforts with the East Bay Municipal Utility District and managed agency submittals with public agencies.
