Del Monte Park in San Jose originally opened in 2014. As part of the second phase of the park’s master plan, the City of San Jose acquired an additional four acres between Auzerais Avenue and West Home Street, extending the park’s boundaries westward along Sunol Street. BKF collaborated with Callander Associates on Phase II, which added a full-size synthetic turf soccer field with overlapping youth fields, concrete jogging paths that connected to Phase I, and new sidewalk, curb, and gutter improvements. The completed expansion brought the park to a total of six acres.
