Michael brings more than 20 years of experience advising public agencies, utilities, infrastructure owners, developers, and institutions across North America on climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, infrastructure resilience, and investment planning. As a resilience and planning leader, he has built multidisciplinary teams, shaped organizational strategies, and delivered large-scale initiatives that help clients identify risk, prioritize investments, secure funding, and advance resilient infrastructure solutions. His expertise spans climate adaptation, risk assessment, grant strategy, program management, and resilience strategies for communities, infrastructure, and energy systems.
His leadership roles include guiding teams on major initiatives such as New Jersey’s Climate Change Resilience Strategy, the International Joint Commission’s Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Resource Guide, Alaska’s Energy Security Task Force Report, the Alaska Energy Authority’s Railbelt Energy Vision Plan, independent transportation agency resilience assessments, and all-hazard mitigation plans throughout the United States. These initiatives have collectively supported more than $100 million in infrastructure upgrades.
