BKF provided as-needed California Environmental Quality Act peer review services to the Riverside County Planning Department in support of a wide range of active planning and development projects. Working under the County’s On-Call Planning Services Contract, BKF reviewed documents and technical studies to ensure compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), current regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Services included peer review of project descriptions, applicant-prepared technical studies, environmental documents, and supporting analyses related to air quality, greenhouse gases, biological resources, transportation, hydrology, noise, and hazardous materials. BKF also prepared CEQA adequacy memorandums documenting findings, identifying potential deficiencies or inconsistencies, and recommending revisions to improve technical accuracy and legal defensibility. Through close coordination with County staff, BKF helped streamline environmental review processes while supporting informed decision-making for complex development projects.
