BKF provided civil engineering and site design services for the expansion and renovation of Building J1 at UC Davis. The project included new accessible parking stalls and an improved accessible travel path to enhance campus mobility. BKF designed a new fire water service connected to a 12‑inch main, along with 550 linear feet of new 6‑inch and 8‑inch piping to support upgraded fire protection infrastructure. The team also designed and documented the installation of a new fire hydrant, ensuring the facility met campus safety and utility standards. These improvements were supported by comprehensive surveying and civil design efforts tailored to the needs of the updated facility and surrounding site.
