BKF has been selected by the City of Los Altos to provide civil engineering and surveying services for the 2025-26 Annual Street Resurfacing Project. This Project is a citywide effort to extend pavement life, improve ride quality, upgrade ADA curb ramps, and reduce long-term rehabilitation costs while minimizing disruptions to residents and businesses.

Guided by pavement condition assessments and City input, the project focuses on resurfacing streets with the highest maintenance needs, ranging from quiet residential neighborhoods to key connector corridors that support local mobility, emergency access, school circulation, and transit operations. Our approach will integrate thorough technical analysis with proactive coordination and community-focused delivery. Our survey team will complete field surveys and ADA evaluations at 14 curb ramp locations, ensuring all ramps are designed to current Caltrans and City standards while identifying utilities or site constraints early in the process. In addition, BKF will support the City in identifying and implementing bike and pedestrian elements from the City’s Master Plan that can be incorporated into the project improvements.

Through clear communication, coordinated outreach, and rigorous QA/QC, our team is committed to helping Los Altos deliver smoother, safer, and more durable streets that serve all users and enhance the community’s long-term infrastructure resilience.
